Race Notes:

·         Corevette Connection Raceway has been dominated by Michael Shank-It Racing (now White Russian Racing), with Mike Kristof taking the inaugural Corevette trophy and Joe Heitz winning the last two events.

·         John Wiedemann has been dominant so far this season, starting the season with two runner-up finishes and now back-to-back victories, launching him to an early 56 point lead over CBD Racing’s Bill Black in the Husarsbilt Cup championship.

·         Right behind Black is former CBD Racing teammate Dan Margetta, the new Team Spehert driver is just one marker behind in third, longtime Team PenskeHO pilot Ev Kamikawa just one point back of Margetta and Wiedemann’s FAST teammate Mike Lack, five arrears of Kamikawa.

·         Wiedemann is riding a ten race final-four appearance streak, series founder and HOFer Phil Cianciola holds the record of 11 straight finals, a feat he managed twice in his illustrious career. A final at Corevette Connection Raceway would pull JW even with that record.

·         STATS WATCH: Steve Rist’s heat win at Halloween Havoc was the 14th of his career, moving to 23rd on the all time list. John Wiedemann moved past his longtime teammate Mike Lack in the laps turned list, now third all time with 57,523, just 53 ahead of Lack. Steve Rist and Joe Heitz moved past fan favorite Tony Perkins on the Laps list to 23rd and 24th respectively. Rist also moved up a spot on the Starts list with 75, good for 24th. Kishen Gohil’s second appearance moved him to a three-way tie for 46th in starts. Gohil now holds the record for most starts without an official race lap. Rist’s DNF at Quarry Heights was his 15th, equaling Pete Dorn, the two are tied at 22nd all-time. The first driver this season with multiple DNFs.
