7:25 – Qualifying for the Firestone P1 Award (group qualifying/ fastest single lap)

7:45 – First Round of bracket racing

8:45 – Head to head final (8 minutes)

Race Notes:

·         Once again, the IndySlotCar Series uses the special match-style format for the race that coincides with the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament.

·         Joe Heitzcut down the nets last season, when the tournament was held at Bermuda Raceway.

·         This season the tournament makes its first appearance at South Shore Superspeedway and the first non-HO Indy 500 event held on the oval.

·         Ev Kamikawa is the most recent race winner, taking the Victory 400 at the debut of the Victory Motor Speedway oval, the #12 Team PenskeHO driver has four HO Indy 500 wins, half of those on South Shore Superspeedway.

·         Kamikawa’s victory helped him leap to second in the Husarsbilt Cup championship from fourth, however, the point deficit to leader John Wiedemann is a tall 122, with four races left to run this season.
