· Only John Wiedemann, Joe Heitz and Bill Black have a chance to win the Oval championship for the Foyt/Mears Award, JW leads Heitz by 18 and Black by 19. Either Heitz or Black need to win and hope that Wiedemann finishes fifth or lower.

· Mike Kristof and Matt Hayek are the only drivers in the top 16 in points without a final four appearance this season.
· Stats Watch: Dean Strom moved to seventh on the all-time Finals appearances list, with 91, one ahead of Hall of Famer Larry Rotter.
