Race Notes:
· John Wiedemann might not have Turtle Creek Park Raceway physically in his possession, but he clearly still owns this track with his third win at the Larry Rotter-built track. JW won the other “Open class” event this season at The Road Course at Badger Raceway.
· Wiedemann sits on a commanding 134 point lead in the chase for the Husarsbilt Cup championship, following back-to-back finishes, the fourth time the #11 FAST pilot has stood on the second step of the podium this season.
· Chris Spehert is coming off his first victory in three and a half years, the leader of Team Spehert in the #28 Honda-Daboiler is the seventh different driver to find the winner’s circle this season.
· Ev Kamikawa’s first win in five years at the Rapids GP, three weeks ago, makes him the sixth different winner of the season.
· STATS WATCH: Wiedemann’s Firestone P1 Award at March Madness is his fourth of the season, a total only exceeded in his career by the 2017-18 season when he had five. In addition to becoming the seventh different winner of the season, he became the 14th different driver to make a final four this season.
