Race Notes:

Mike Lack is riding a two-race winning streak, taking the checkers at the Jackson 500 and Quarryfest Deslotmania, and climbing to third from seventh in the Husarsbilt Cup championship standings with the two victories.

While his FAST teammate has won the last two races, defending champion John Wiedemann continues to lead the points race, but has missed the finals at both the Black Track and Quarry Heights after his own two-race winning streak. With 450 points, he sits 109 points ahead of CBD Racing’s Bill Black and 113 over Lack.

Bill Black has been on a two-race runner up streak, his best results of the season.

For the second season in a row, Mike Lack wins from the pole just a race or two after a large Pole-to-Win fund was collected. It was a Lack’s series’ all-time record 56th Firestone P1 Award.

STAT NOTES: Chris Spehert made his 211th career start at the Quarryfest Deslotmania, this moves him to ninth on the all-time list. Mike Kristof’s DNF at Quarry Heights elevates him to second on that all-time list with 73, at the same time Dan Margetta extended his career record to 95 with his deslot DNF. John Wiedemann breaks a tie with FAST teammate Matt Hayek to move to fifth on the all-time DNF list with 40. Joe Heitz moves into a tie with Tony Perkins at 19th with his 21st DNF.
